Kenya: St Charles Lwanga Boystown Ruai Center

Local Partner: St Charles Lwanga Boystown Ruai Center

Recipients: 100 boys

Harambee’s contribution:  $4,800 (Second Tranche)

The St. Charles Lwanga Boystown Ruai Center serves as a vital lifeline for orphaned and disadvantaged children in Kenya, providing a comprehensive foundation for a life beyond poverty. This project goes beyond basic classroom instruction by offering a holistic "home away from home" environment where 100 boys receive consistent nutrition, physical education through a structured sports program, and a secure place to live. By funding this second installment of support, Harambee ensures the continuity of these essential services, preventing disruptions in the students' academic and personal development. This stable environment is the launchpad that allows these young men to transition into secondary education and eventually acquire the technical skills necessary for stable employment and community leadership.

Activity: Provide a holistic educational and residential framework for vulnerable youth, integrating academic learning with physical health and social stability to prepare them for secondary schooling and professional self-sufficiency.
