DR Congo: School in Kuiz Kajima, Yangala
Local Partner: Kuiz Kajima School in Yangala
Recipients: 160 women in Abidjan
Harambee’s contribution: $6,000
Harambee USA is providing essential school kits for 100 vulnerable children attending Kuiza Kuajima School in Yangala, DR Congo. While Harambee previously supported the construction of the school building, many students still lack the basic supplies they need to learn—such as books, uniforms, shoes, and notebooks. Most of these children are orphans or victims of the Kamuena Nsapu conflict, living in conditions of extreme poverty. This project ensures each student receives $60 worth of school materials to create a more stable and effective learning environment.
Activity: Promote quality primary and secondary education for the school children in Yangala and shape individuals to foster equal opportunities for access to employment and society.
